American Critical Care Services provides skilled Private duty nursing services under the Virginia Medicaid Waiver Program to our most fragile community members. Most of our clients receiving private duty care with American Critical Care Services utilize technologies to maintain quality living in the privacy of their own homes.
Waivered individuals can have tracheostomies, ventilators, feeding tubes or they may be experiencing progressive diseases making breathing difficult without mechanical help. No matter the challenges or the situation, ACCS is here to answer your questions and guide you.
At ACCS we have a Medicaid Waiver Specialist who coordinates the referral process and oversees nurse staffing and service authorizations. We also have RN nurse supervisors that work directly with clients to assure timely onboarding and appropriate staffing to the degree possible.

The process for case staffing is highly individualized and involves matching nurses with clients utilizing a referral request system. This often involves consideration of geography, nurse skill set, client acuity, shift request, flexibility of nurses and families and many other aspects of daily life that might impact nurse placements to the case.
